Details

This stunning specimen features silver-grey hematite rosettes intricately clustered with lustrous titanite crystals, sourced from the mineral-rich regions of Pakistan. The hematite forms delicate, metallic rosettes, showcasing a brilliant reflective sheen that contrasts beautifully with the translucent to slightly yellow-green titanite crystals. This unique combination creates a striking aesthetic, with the sharp geometry of the titanite complementing the soft, petal-like formations of the hematite. Known for its grounding and balancing properties, hematite enhances focus and stability, while titanite, also called sphene, is valued for its high dispersion and vibrant energy. This rare and visually captivating mineral association makes it a prized addition to any mineral collection.

Description:

The name Hematite comes from a Greek word meaning Blood which is derived from the fact that, when cut, the saw coolant becomes colored red. Hematite is one of the most common minerals. The color of most red and brown rocks, such as sandstone, is caused by small amounts of Hematite.

It is also responsible for the red color of many minerals. Hematite can be in reddish-brown, dark silvery-grey scaled masses, ocherous masses, silvery-grey crystals, and dark-grey masses. Formerly used as mourning jewelry, but today mainly for rings and necklaces. It takes a very high polish.
