Details
'Azurite Suns' are a unique outcrop of the beloved species azurite and are exclusive to the Malbunka Copper Mine of Australia. They formed when copper-rich water containing the components of azurite precipitated within the seams of dense kaolinite clay. This is striking example that boasts a lovely array of multiple azure blue discs. The crystals are very well spread all around in exceptionally circular shape and richly saturated with a piercing, electric blue color. The crystals are nicely composed on front view of the specimen, giving the specimen an aesthetic visuals. The creamy white matrix provides a dramatic backdrop and sharp juxtaposition of both color and form. This specimen truly resembles a work of modern art, thanks to its minimalistic, yet bold aesthetics that could easily be interpreted as a study on shape and color.
