Vorobyevite is rare alkali-rich blue beryl forming mostly tabular rossetts crystals. This particular specimen is an incredible example from Badakhshan, Afghanistan. It featuring number of tabular crystals with secondary crystals. It has magnificent vibrant sky-blue color, very good luster and well crystalized all around. It's an indeed pretty neat and attractive example for the species in such perfection and aesthetic visuals.

Vorobyevite is a rare mineral that belongs to the complex phosphate group. It is named after the Russian mineralogist, Anatoly Nikolaevich Vorobiev, who discovered it in the Lovozero Massif of the Kola Peninsula in Russia. Vorobyevite is known for its vibrant green color and is highly valued by mineral collectors and enthusiasts.

Vorobyevite Description

Vorobyevite is a rare alkali Beryl variety containing Cesium that are found in limited localities around the world.  It was first discovered as colorless ones in Russia, and its name also applied to rosy colored and colorless alkali Beryls from Madagascar.  There was a relatively new found at the Afghanistan locality several years ago, and those tend to have beautiful celestial blue colors. Crystals may be recently 'discovered', but in actuality they have existed long before and quite ancient.
